It’s a rainy Sunday night hanging with my best bud Rob-o, walking all over the L.E.S. since our last fav bar spot was under new ownership, plays only country and basically turned wack. Just like a scene in Mr. Destiny(love that movie) Mars Bar was on the corner and was the perfect dive bar we were looking for.

I’m usually a stickerler for a change, but I had so much fun this night thats its help me embrace all of the huge changes that were currently going on in my life. The way I see it when it comes to change is at first it might not be easy to swallow, but a few chasers later you will be feeling RIGHT! lol

Brooklyn Museum_Essence
At Target’s First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum, my blackberry battery died while waiting for my friend Rob, who’s number I cannot remember by heart and security is starting to think I got stood up, when photog Hannan Saleh for Essence.com snaps my pic for their street style feature. BTW, Rob didn’t stand me up! Check out the full gallery and leave a comment here!

Asphalt Tattoo_Paula Meijerink003
Street art in DUMBO Brooklyn has been taken literally. The public artwork is titled Asphalt Tattoo (pictured), and it was created by Paula Meijerink, a Boston-based artist and designer who teaches at Harvard and has a thing for asphalt. Paula’s creaton of a dragon tattoo egraved into the street is filled with broken glas bottles. It’s all fun and games until someone pop’s a tire. The artwork is meant to display for a year…lets see how long that lasts before a lawsuit**fingers crossed**
